Fraudulent Systems
A couple of reporters once figured they could sniff out somebody doing something they shouldn't be doing if they just followed the money. That way of thinking seems to work in cyberspace as well. It often seems that every fraud on the planet seems to have a website that offers fabulous riches that are only just a click and credit card number away.
Desperate gamblers find themselves taken in by these frauds on a regular basis. The desire to get an edge when gambling seems to often short-circuit their common sense. This is especially prevalent with those who play Roulette.
Whizzing through the blogosphere like so many comets looking for some place to crash, are a number of fraudulent systems. Two of the more popular ones come from www.roulettesystems.com and www.targetroulette.com.
Richard Grace of RouletteSystems offers something called the Barbi system. When most guys go on the net and are offered something named Barbi, good things usually follow. That is not what happens in this particular case. The system is based around the idea of walking away when you are financially ahead of the game (a better name for the system that is based on such an obvious generality would be "Duh"). It has very little to say about how you manage to get yourself into a position that your up in chips. Grace doesn't seem to understand much of the basic concepts of roulette. Another reason to avoid his site is that the sound effects that is part of the site continue playing even after you have closed down the browser. The only way to get rid of the sound of explosions is to re-start your computer.
TargetRoulette is a rather insidious site because the beginner can be easily sucked in by the hundreds of pages of useful information that will help them improve their game. This gives the user the idea that these folks know what they are talking about. The professionally written documentation effectively hides the fact that the repeating number theory this system is based on is completely useless. Getting sucked in and trying this train wreck of a system will cost you money in the long run. |
